Cohort Highlights:
- Four-year cohort program to provide educational and social opportunities across five pillars: mentoring, leadership, service, entrepreneurship and education with a focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice
- Participants in the cohort live together in a residence hall and attend special events throughout the school year
- In year 1, faculty, staff, and alumni mentors help students develop leadership skills and LPW recipients engage in monthly service projects.
- In year 2, mentors from the local area emphasize community outreach, and service projects include volunteering at a local school.
- In years 3 and 4, mentors from professional fields help prepare students for their post-college life and career. LPW scholars in their third year serve on an advisory board to lead the cohort and those in their fourth year will serve as mentors to younger peers.
